FAQs

Q: Do I have to sign a long contract?
No, we don’t require lengthy contracts. Our contracts are month-to-month.
Q: Can I rent my drinking water system?
Yes, certain systems are available for rental on a monthly basis instead of paying upfront. Feel free to contact us for more details.
Q: How long does installation take?
• Reverse Osmosis Systems typically take 1-2 hours to install.
• Water Softener Systems typically take 4-8 hours.
Q: What is Reverse Osmosis?
Reverse Osmosis is a water treatment process where a solvent passes through a membrane in the opposite direction of natural osmosis when subjected to hydrostatic pressure greater than the osmotic pressure.
Q: Is Reverse Osmosis water as pure as bottled water?
Yes, with Reverse Osmosis, you can have pure drinking water directly from your tap, saving you time and money on bottled water.
Q: I’ve heard one shouldn’t use copper pipes with Reverse Osmosis Systems?
It’s recommended to use non-metallic piping after a Reverse Osmosis System. The water
produced by the system can be more corrosive, which can affect copper pipes over time.
Q: How can I test what is in my water?
We offer a free water test to help determine the best treatment solution for your water.
Q: If I have a water softener system, do I still need a drinking water system?
Water softeners improve water quality for bathing, cleaning, and laundry, but they do not purify drinking water. If you want the highest quality water for drinking, cooking, and ice cubes, a dedicated drinking water system will reduce contaminants and total dissolved solids.
Q: What is the difference between softening water and hard water?
Soft water is free from hardness minerals like calcium, magnesium, and iron, which helps protect your plumbing and xtures. Soft water also improves cleaning, laundering, and dishwashing results, minimizing scaling and staining.
Q: Is a water softener system hard to maintain?
Most softeners are automatic and require minimal maintenance. The salt level typically needs to be checked quarterly, but we also offer a salt delivery service program for convenience.
Q: Is a Reverse Osmosis System hard to maintain?
Reverse Osmosis Systems are easy to maintain. Regular maintenance includes replacing lters annually and the membrane every 3-5 years. The system also needs to be ushed and sanitized periodically.
Q: Will softened water harm my garden and lawn?
Softened water can be harmful to plants and grass due to the sodium used in the softening process. This can be easily avoided by using a bypass for garden and lawn faucets.
Q: What if I move?
Warranties are transferable to the new owner of the home or can stay with the unit if you decide to take it with you.
Q: What should I consider before buying any water treatment system?
Do some research on your local water issues, as water problems can vary by location. Consider factors like warranties, maintenance, energy costs, size, and installation location. It's also important to choose a licensed, insured company with customer referrals and accreditation, such as from the WQA. Our water experts offer free site inspections and water tests to help nd the best solution for your home.
Q: What does "Free Standard Installation" cover?
• Reverse Osmosis installation covers the system and faucet installation. Additional work
like drilling through granite or running a line to a refrigerator may incur extra charges.
• Water Softener installation includes installing the system to a supply line within 10 feet of the home.
Q: If I rent, what does the rental fee include?
